The beginning of summer brings..

It was a really hectic day ..but I wouldn't have changed it to be any other way. My baby was playing 'Snowflake' in Peter and the Wolf and I, the proudest mum ever!

I also blocked and finished my summer shawl 'Nectarine Flutters' in 5 days flat and am so darn pleased with myself. Already planning another colour!

'ay sciping rop'

I haven't been to The Oracle in a while but I didn't remember it being so small. The highlight was me finding myself in places where there is masses of yarn and then I couldn't help myself (ofcourse).  I bought this amazing looking Rowan Lenpur linen in a colour lovely tatoo colour and I know exactly what I will be making out of it. There is far too many things to make and far too little time!

We lunched at Jamie Oliver's restaurant and the food didn't seem too different from Zizzi's in Chiswick. I guess if it comes down to pasta comparison .. I couldn't tell much difference except the Zizzi's was spicier. The choc-brownie with ice cream was nicer at JO's but overall I guess I am not in a position to make a judgement since I cannot try the big steak dishes either place *sigh*

I found this card my daughter made for me but forgot to give it.. I feel so special :)

Frogged and moved on.

This was the thing I knit first when I started and I have never worn it.. waste of a perfect yarn. I am convinced that it deserves no other fate. The stitch was all wrong.. basically my own interpretation of the pattern and it was too silly looking to be a crowl. Frogged it!

This gorgeous yarn arrived in the post today. At first glance it looked like a terrible colour.. but I'm keeping an open mind and after its been knitted up, it might actually look nice. This one is Sirdar Juicy DK (80% bamboo & 20% cotton). Needless to say I have already cast on for 'Summer Flies'.. and when I have knit enough to make some sense of it.. there will sure as hell be pictures.

This Lacy Scarf is the Branching Out pattern by Susan Lawrence and I finished with it couple of days ago but only managed to photograph it today since it wasn't raining. Its awfully long and feels so soft. I'm so glad its done and I won't be making another one for a very long time!
